Robert Sobon, 72, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday October 6, 2017 at his home in Pawleys Island. He was born on August 2, 1945 in Buffalo New York to the late Walter and Helen Oscypala Sobon.
Following his honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, Bob worked for Xerox Printing for 31 years. Following his retirement, he became self employed as a charter boat captain. Bob also worked hard to obtain his trucking license, enabling his to captain an amphibious “duck boat.”
Left to cherish Bob’s memory, is his beloved wife Hilda Brown Sobon, they would have celebrated 44 years of marriage on October 26. He also leaves his sister, Connie Goertz of La Jolla, California and his nephew, Andy Oscypala, as well as many friends and neighbors.
No formal services are scheduled for Bob at this time.
