Kenneth J. Latour, 76, died peacefully at home after a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 56 years, Judith A. (Gates) Latour; his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Richard Jarvis; his son, Scott Latour; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three siblings, and his dog, Bailey, who never left his side.
He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth Jr. Born in Ludlow, MA, he was the son of Claude and Anita (Boivin) Latour. He attended Springfield Trade School and was a self-employed excavating contractor. Ken lived in Granby, MA for 38 years before retiring to Myrtle Beach, SC to enjoy boating and fishing. He was a stockcar and mini-sprint car owner and avid driver, and spent many years on the tracks. He was deeply loved by his family and will be forever missed.
A funeral service will be held 6:00 PM Friday, June 09, 2017 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on Kenny's passing. He was a good man and neighbor. He helped us out in many of Granby's snowstorms. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

So sorry to hear of Kenny's passing, we were just thinking of him even after all these years and wondered how he was doing....he was a good friend. Our condolences to you Judy and your whole family...may you find comfort in your memories. Kenny was a great guy.
