William A. Nuttall



William A. Nuttall, 71, of Murrells Inlet, formerly of Geneva, Illinois, was called to the Lord on Monday November 27, 2017. He was born in Lowell, Massachusetts on September 5, 1946 to the late Andrew and Shirley Nuttall.

Along with his parents, Bill is preceded in passing by his beloved daughter, Patricia Nuttall.

Bill proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his honorable discharge, he went on to become an electronic technician. In his free time and after his retirement, Bill loved to travel and play golf. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Moose Club, and was an active parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church.

Left to cherish Bill’s memory, is his adoring wife, Sharon L. Nuttall of Murrells Inlet; his daughter, Cynthia Pill and her husband AJ of Oxford, Michigan; his beautiful grandchildren, Maggie, George, Katie & Nick Pill; his sister, Nancy Ball and her husband Berry of East Lyme, Connecticut as well as a large, loving, extended family.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Ave. Garden City, with Father Ed Fitzgerald officiating.

Inurnment to follow in the church columbarium immediately following the service, where military honors will be accorded.

The family will greet friends on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet with a prayer service at 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made too, St. Jude’s Research, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.

The Nuttall family wishes to express, with heartfelt appreciation, the care and support provided to them by Coastal Cancer Center of Murrells Inlet, Regency Hospice Services and the continued prayers, visits and words of comfort from their friends and neighbors of Palm Bay.
