Yolanda Z. Myers

Yolanda Z. Myers, 59, of Conway, SC, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1963, in Montclair, New Jersey, the youngest daughter of the late Rufus Mincey, Sr. and Mamie Morgan Mincey of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Throughout her life she had a genuine love for the arts. Up until her late teens, she performed on stage and landed herself in newspapers throughout New Jersey. She studied dance at the prestigious Alvin Ailey American dance in Manhattan, NY before transitioning to cosmetology.

Survivors include her children Aja. A. Mincey and Barron A. Myers; grandchildren, Teal P. Mincey, Aaliyah Myers, Tatiana Myers, Ian Myers, Jr., and Sophia Myers; and brother, Rufus E. Mincey, II. (Karen) of Ladson, SC.

Yolanda was proceeded in death by her son, Ian C. Myers; sisters, Margaret R. Mincey, Carolyn M. Amie, Frances S. Putnam, Alice Catherine Castro, Deborah J. Mincey, Mary H. Martinez-Mincey; and a brother, Philip G. Mincey.

Yolanda has a host of family members, especially her “special nieces and nephews”, and many friends that she beautifully affected and loved.

The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00pm Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
