William Byerly Wilhelm, of Surfside Beach, SC, formerly of Hartsville, SC passed away on March 8, 2026, at National Health Care in Murrells Inlet, SC.
William was predeceased by his parents, John Guy Wilhelm and Jeanne Byerly Wilhelm, a brother, J. Guy Wilhelm, Sisters, Mary Wilhelm Jordan and Vickie Wilhelm and a niece, Jamie M. Goodman.
He was a Clemson graduate and loved the Tigers. Other hobbies included woodworking, building furniture, playing golf, and enjoying classic cars. Mr. Wilhelm was a Real-Estate Broker and Developer, and he spent thirty-five years at Surfside Realty Company, where he planted deep community roots and built lifelong friendships.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Nancy McConnell Wilhelm of Anderson, SC. A son, William B. (Bo) Wilhelm, Jr. of Murrells Inlet, SC, daughter, Elizabeth Wilhelm Parsons, and her husband Christopher of Surfside Beach, SC. Grandchildren, Byerly Wilhelm Spann and her husband, Jimbo, of Murrells inlet, SC, Julian Wilhelm and his wife, Kinley of Murrells Inlet, SC. Holden Parsons, Charleston, SC, William Parsons, of Surfside Beach, and Emily Parsons of Surfside Beach. Two Great Grandsons, James and Cale Spann. Two Nephews: Mark W. Jordan of Hartsville, SC, Jay Goodman and his wife Debbie of Murrells Inlet, SC. Many cousins and extended family members which he loved.
His family would like to extend a special thanks to National Health Care of Murrells Inlet, SC for the wonderful care, dedication and commitment William received.
