William Snyder, Jr.

William “Bill” E. Snyder, Jr., passed away on April 1, 2020, while at home under Hospice care; he was born January 22, 1930, having grown up in Carlisle, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, Rick Snyder; two sisters, Hilda Wampler and Ellen Starner; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Betty Lou Snyder of Darlington, SC.

Mr Snyder is survived by his wife of 33 years, Eola E. Tootie (Coots) Snyder; two daughters, Linda Casterella (John) of Marion, SC; Sharon Nowlen of Clearwater, FL; a son Gary Snyder of Millers Town, PA; as well as five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one sister, Shirley Brown of Carlisle, PA. Also one stepson, Aaron Stover and 8 step grandchildren.

William “Bill” loved to sing as evident by his 50 year membership in The International Barbershop Association and approximately 18 years as a member of the choir for Belin United Methodist Church in Murrells Inlet, SC.

A memorial service will be held in the near future, after the COVID-19 virus is no longer a threat.
