William Rabon Obituary

William Eric Rabon, 60, passed away peacefully with his adoring family by his side on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 while at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  He was born on December 27, 1965 in Conway, South Carolina to Ona Eric (Buddy) Rabon, Jr., & LeNell Outlaw Rabon.

Will was a hardworking man who would stop at nothing to provide for his family. He was a graduate of Socastee High School - Class of 1984 - and went on to own and operate Rabon Construction & Storage.  Will was a faithful man and was a member of Surfside Presbyterian Church.  Above all else, Will loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Will’s memory are his beloved wife of over 32 years, Kelly C. Rabon; their son, W. Parker Rabon; daughters, Eva (Gabe) Holcomb & Emory Rabon; grandson, Peter Holcomb; brothers, Ricky (Angie) Rabon & Craig Rabon; nephews, Jordan, Lucas and Reames; nieces, Maria and Abby; great nieces, Skylar and Amara - all of Myrtle Beach; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends, neighbors and patrons.

Will Rabon was a passionate and loving man. Will stood strong in his moral principles and biblical convictions unlike any other. His integrity followed him until the end. Early on, Will was the director of sports at the Surfside Recreation Center. Will loved to coach, not only in sports but in any way he could. He coached his children in baseball, softball, and volleyball. He coached his friends in ways to live longer and healthier lives. He coached those who worked with him on how to work thoroughly until the end.  He was a leader, and everyone knew that when Will Rabon started talking, you had to listen. He led his family, his business, and his life with a quiet leadership that although it did not demand everyone’s attention, gained everyone’s attention with ease. In his free time, Will loved to go on trips with his family and gain new experiences, he loved boating, jet skiing, and snow skiing. Most of all, he loved his family trip to Pawleys Island- although not far from home.  He always loved to go out on the water with his family and sling the younger ones off of the tube. Will was a voice of reason to everyone he spoke to and was never too busy to offer a lecture or a piece of advice - his brain was overflowing with knowledge and he was always kind enough to share. And finally, his greatest joy was being able to see his nieces, nephews, and children grow up into the men and women they are today. There was no one he was prouder of, than them.
