William Kelly Obituary

William G. Kelly, 76, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of South Dennis, Scituate, and Newton, MA, peacefully passed away on Thursday May 20, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and three daughters, at his home.

Bill was born on June 13, 1944 in Allston, Massachusetts to the late William J. & Kathleen Kelly.  

Bill proudly served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam era. Following his honorable discharge, Bill went on to become a Master Plumber, Project Superintendent and eventually the owner and operator of Kelco Building Corp in Scituate, MA.  While in Massachusetts, Bill was a member of the Lions Club where he dedicated his time to to the Lions by serving his community and was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow and ‘Lion of the Year’ awards. 

Left to cherish Bill's memory are his wife of 51 years, Jeanne Walsh Kelly of Murrells Inlet; their daughters, Leigh Kelly Lopes of Bourne, MA, Adrienne Kelly of Murrells Inlet and Jennifer Pennese and her husband, Robert, of Martinsburg, WV; his loving grandchildren, Abigail, James, & Owen; his twin brother, Rev. J. Patrick Kelly of Scituate, MA; sister, Mary M. Kelly of Mahwah, NJ; a large, loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors. 

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of the Nativity Church 1 Kent Street Scituate MA 02066.
