William Holford Obituary

William R. Holford, 92, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Friday, October 04, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 05, 1927 in Trenton, NJ, son of the late William P. Holford and Rose Gioscio Holford.

He is survived by his loving wife of sixty nine years, Alice Holford of Murrells Inlet; one son, Theodore Holford of Myrtle Beach; one sister, Rosemary Liccardo and her husband John of Trenton, NJ; one brother, Ronald Holford of Lincroft, NJ; and two nieces, Linda Babbasack and her husband Richard, and Tina Salmastrellia.

William proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University and worked as the assistant principal at Lawrence Township Middle School. William was a member of the Murrells Inlet American Legion Post 178.

A celebration of William’s life will be held at a later date.
