Willa Mae Green, 91, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, formerly of Stafford, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. She was born June 12, 1934, in Mullens, WV, a daughter of the late Frank Hull and Virginia Agee Hull.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kester Green; a daughter, Teena Marie Scheffer; grandson, Keith Meadows; siblings, James Lawson, Amos Lawson, Lois Clowers and Dina Jean Lilly; as well as sons-in-law, Brice Bonwill and Charlie Scheffer.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne Bonwill of Murrells Inlet, SC, Heather Green of Myrtle Beach, SC and Marina Meadows and her husband, Dwayne of Surfside Beach, SC; granddaughters, Sherri Satterwhite and her husband, Brian of Fredericksburg, VA, Angela Meadows of Surfside Beach, SC, Amelia Buckner and husband, Cody of Louisa, VA and Carson Green of Richmond, VA; grandsons, Charlie Scheffer of Greensboro, NC, Peyton Cochran of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Linda Policano and her husband, Frank of New York; brother, Benny Hull of Spanishburg, WV; great granddaughters, Kaydence, Kailey, Bree, Camlyn, and Calliper; and great grandsons, Royce, Kingston and Justice.
Willa was an avid quilter and seamstress. She loved to read any book that she could find, but above all things she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Willa’s family would like to thank the hospice caregivers, Rennata, Priscella, Angela, Brittany, and Kerry for all their special care during this difficult time. They will forever be considered “Our Angels.”
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Willa’s name to All About Animals Rescue and Transport, Myrtle Beach, SC 29578.
