Warren Charles Bender, 85, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday June 29, 2026, while at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on September 4, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Charles & Elvira Sterhoff Bender.
Along with his parents, Warren is reunited in passing with his sister, Carol Grimm, Brother-in-Law, Charlie Grimm, and nephew, Kyle Grimm.
Warren was a hardworking man with a heart of gold and a zest for life. He retired from Supreme Lighting company where he made lifelong connections and established solid rapport with those in the industry alongside him. After retirement he enjoyed working at Ocean Lakes Family Campground for over 15 years in the landscaping department.
In his free time and above all else, Warren loved being with his family, spending time on the beach and watching his favorite football team play, The New York Giants.
He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Warren’s memory are his adoring wife, Mrs. Lila Doris Drange Bender of the home in Myrtle Beach; their son, Greg Bender (Lisa), their daughter, Kirsten Manos (George), grandchildren: Sydney Carson, Audrey Carson & Zack Cole; sister, Elaine Costigan (Dennis); as well as several nieces, nephews, a loving extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
