Walter Emerson Davis

Walter Emerson Davis, 75, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 20, 1947 in McKeesport, PA, son of the late Emerson Davis.

Survivors include his loving wife, Angela Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Jennifer Durigon and her husband, Darrin of Myrtle Beach; two sons, Michael Davis and his wife, Michele Davis of Myrtle Beach and James Davis and his wife, Shannon of Myrtle Beach; grandsons, Matthew Durigon and Chase Davis; granddaughters, Lexie Davis and Paisley Davis; and a sister, Janet Davis of Pittsburgh.

Walter proudly served in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed spending time bowling, fishing, playing Pinochle, and spending time with his family and friends.

A celebration of Walter’s life will be held 3:00pm Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time from 2:00-3:00pm as well as following the service.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made in Walter’s name to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 414238 Boston, MA 02241-4238.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Agape Hospice and to the Coastal Cancer Center.
