Virginia "Ginny" Lee Watson

Virginia "Ginny" Lee Watson, 84, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Friday, May 29, 2021 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on August 11, 1936 in Sparrows Point, Maryland to the late Blaine & Dorothy Truitt Deem.

Along with her parents, Ginny is reunited in passing with her daughter, Diana Lynn.

Ginny was and remains, an immense presence in the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her.  The constant love for her husband, family and friends shone as bright as her infectious smile and hearty laugh.  No truer statement can be made than “Everyone loved Ginny”, and our lives have been made fuller for her being a part of them. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Ginny’s memory are her beloved husband, Alan Watson, Sr., of Murrells Inlet; daughter, Laura Watson of North Myrtle Beach; sons, Alan Watson, Jr., and wife Cheryl of Leesburg, VA, William Watson and wife Virginia of Havre de Grace, MD & Daniel Watson and wife Kasey of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Alan Watson, III and wife Joanie, April Watson, Dylan Watson, Brittney Watson, Khloe Watson, Kaitlyn Watson, Kendall Watson, and great-grandchildren, Alan 4th, Stella, Atticus, and Penelope; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of Ginny’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00AM at Belin UMC, 4182 Hwy 17 Bus, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 Burial will immediately follow within the church cemetery. The family will gather to greet friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 4:00PM until 7:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

Following the services on Tuesday, the family will gather from 1:30PM until 3:00PM for refreshments and further celebration of Ginny's life at Inlet Affairs, 4024 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
