Virginia "Ginny" Ellen (Guttridge) Blake

Virginia (Ginny) Ellen Blake, 83, went to be with her beloved Jesus on June 26, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 4, 1942 in Salisbury, Maryland to Marian and Harry Guttridge.

Ginny was a member of South Strand Assembly of God and enjoyed baking, gardening, dressing up for every occasion, traveling and going on as many adventures as she could. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt and nana. She loved to spend time with her family and countless friends and went out of her way to show kindness and love to everyone she encountered.

Ginny is survived by her daughters Jessica Blake of Banner Elk, NC; Memphis Sides of Clover, SC; Lara Blake of Conway, SC;  and goddaughter Candance (Jacob) Griffith of Conway, SC; along with her 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken and granddaughters Lillian and Gibson.

A memorial service will be held on July 11, 2026 at 1:00 pm at South Strand Assembly of God in Murrells Inlet, SC. Everyone is welcome to help us remember and celebrate the life of our precious Ms. Ginny. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to South Strand Assembly of God to assist with funeral expenses.
