Vicki Jane (Martin) Elvis

Vicki Jane Elvis, 65, received her wings after a valiant battle with an illness. She passed on Sunday August 2, 2020 with her loving husband by her side, at Grand Strand Hospital. She was born on November 22, 1954 in St. Charles, Louisiana.

Vicki had a mesmerizing personality and a sense of humor to match. Her ability to make friends wherever she went allowed her to have a successful career with the city of Myrtle Beach for the Water Department for many years. Vicki took most pride in owning and operating Elvis Welding, with her husband for over a decade. In her free time, Vicki was still dedicated to being active and present in her community. She was a member of the Daughters of Confederacy, was a proud participant of the Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club as well as the Omar Shine Temple in Charleston, SC where Vicki was a Lady of the Shrine. Above all else, Vicki loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Left to cherish Vicki’s memory are her soul mate and husband, Hubert Roland Elvis, Jr. of Myrtle Beach; their daughter, Tamara Elvis-Ramsey and her husband, Billy of York, SC; her parents, Joseph “Bill” Mitchell Martin & Betty “B” Jane (Hyman) Martin of Myrtle Beach; her adoring grandchildren, Ansley, Trenton, Lauren, Orrin, Mitchell & Marcus; great-grandson, Corbin; step- grandchildren, Baylee & Kortnee; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

Vicki is reunited in passing with her beloved son, Marcus Roland Elvis and her furbaby, Donatella.

The family will gather to greet friends on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at 2:00pm with Rev. Dr. J. Kirk Lawton, Jr. officiating at Hillcrest Cemetery, Hwy 544, Conway, SC. Due to the current pandemic, masks are required to be worn during the service and visitation.
