Todd Edward Burzler, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday January 29, 2026 while at his home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on December 3, 1973 in New Britain, Connecticut, son of Edward Frederick Burzler & Janice Ann Kowalczyk Burzler.
Todd is reunited in passing with his nephew, Jake McCoy Burzler.
Todd was a hardworking man with a heart of gold and a passion for helping those in need. He was a skilled firefighter with Murrells Inlet Fire Department for many years where he made lasting impacts and lifelong friends. In his free time, Todd could be found cheering on the Miami Dolphins, fishing with his son and tinkering with his many projects in the garage. Todd especially relished time cooking bountiful meals for his family, going above and beyond with his holiday decorations and finding the special, sentimental meaning in all the little things in life. Above all else, Todd loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his quick wit, bright smile and the love he had for his family, friends and setting off fireworks.
Along with his parents, Jan & Ed of Myrtle Beach; left to cherish Todd’s memory are his beloved fiancée, Heather Nadler; children, Liliana and Luke Burzler; brothers, Jared Burzler and Jason Burzler and his wife, Mandy; nephew, Max Burzler; niece, Grace Burzler; close family relatives, Mandy Wright & Tina Johnson and Meghan Kowalczyk; beloved k9, Peanut; as well as a large, loving, extended family, many supportive friends, neighbors and brothers in the department.
A Celebration of Todd’s life will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026 at 12PM. The family will receive drop-ins at the farm, from 1PM until 3PM at Outside Alive Farms, 6791 SC-707, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
At the request of the family please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to a special account, Todd Burzler: Benefit for his Children at Conway National Bank. These funds go directly to assisting Liliana and Luke through this difficult process and secure their future needs.
