Thomas "Mike" Michael Hendrix

Thomas Michael “Mike” Hendrix, 70, of Murrells Inlet left us on Thursday, May 12, 2022. He was born in Conway, SC on September 6, 1951 to Thomas Murphy and Frances Moore Hendrix.

He attended Conway High School and Coastal Carolina University when he wasn’t at the beach surfing. An avid golfer, Mike served as the Golf Director, and later Manager, for the Breakers Hotel, and as Golf Director for the Crown Reef Resort.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Joe, Nell, Bill, and David Hendrix.

He leaves behind his wife, Megan Loeffler Hendrix; two children, Julie Hendrix Anderson (Derek), and Kerry Hendrix; two grandchildren, Sutton and Thomas “Hendrix” Anderson; and one brother, John Hendrix.

Mike loved golfing, hunting, fishing, boiled peanuts, and good music played at max volume. He will be remembered for his easy-going nature, friendly smile, and dad jokes.
