Thomas Fowler, Jr.

Thomas Fowler, Jr., 83, passed away peacefully Thursday May 25, 2023 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown, South Carolina, with his loving family by his side. He was born on January 12, 1940 in New York, New York to the late Thomas Fowler, Sr. & Loretta Phipps Lorick Fowler.

Along with his parents, Tom is reunited in passing with is son, Kevin Fowler & sister, Shirley.

Tom was a hardworking man with a heart of gold. While in New York, he was the proud owner and operator of Fowler Limousine & Sedan Limited for many years.  Following his well-deserved retirement and relocation to Murrells Inlet, Tom was a member of Journey Church. In his free time, Tom relished time spent making memories with friends and above all else, loved his family with his whole heart. Tom will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his quick wit, bright smile and infectious laughter.

Left to cherish Tom’s memory are his adoring wife, Diana Jenny Astikainen Fowler of Murrells Inlet; son, Thomas Fowler, III and his wife, Mignon of San Luis Obisbo, CA & daughter, Kellie Fowler of Seattle, WA; granddaughter, Hannah Fowler; sister, Jeanette (Tab) Grier of Villages, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends, neighbors and patrons.

A Celebration of Tom’s life will be held privately.
