Theresa Rogers

We are sad to announce the deaths of Richard J. Rogers and Theresa Rogers.  Richard died peacefully in his sleep on October 31, 2022.  Terry, his beloved wife for 62 years, was hospitalized at the time for a serious medical condition, which ultimately caused her death on November 16, 2022.

Richard (May 5, 1938) and Terry (nee Wesoke, Nov. 28, 1937) were both born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and grew up in a community of Lithuanian immigrants.  After meeting in elementary school, which kindled the flame of love, they married after fate brought them together in adulthood. Richard and Terry had a son and lived happily on Long Island, N.Y. Later in life, Richard and Terry became the proprietors of the Bromley View Inn located in Bondville, VT, where they enjoyed the beauty of the Green Mountains and bringing hospitality to travelers.  Richard and Terry retired to Surfside Beach, S.C. and had lived there in continued love and happiness since 2004.

Richard and Terry are survived by their son, Rich, daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Burns, and grandchildren, Emily and Joseph.

A funeral mass for Richard and Terry will be held on December 2, 2022,at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garden City, S.C. at 1:00 pm. All are welcome.
