Theresa Ray Lovette Cartrette

Mrs Theresa Ray Lovette Cartrette, 75 died Sunday January 9th, 2022 at her Myrtle Beach home. She was born April 29th, 1946 in Charlotte, NC to the late Clayton Odell Lovette and Lucille Nora Day Furches. She graduated from Davie County High School in 1965. She owned and operated Log Cabin Tax Service in Tobaccoville, NC. Retirement brought her to Myrtle Beach SC where she enjoyed activities with her ukulele group, African Drumming on the beach, and attending events with the Sassy Lassies. She loved to play Mahjong and Bunco with her friends. Teri believed in helping others and often participated in crocheting blankets for the “Prayer Shaw Ministries” at 6th Ocean Ave Presbyterian Church. She had a spirited and outgoing personality that will be missed in her community. She was very much loved and adored by her family and friends. 

She is proceeded by her stepfather James Fred Furches, sister Carolyn Murray and a daughter Jill Smith. She is survived by husband Charles Cartrette, sons Craig Steven Baucom and Michael Cartrette, daughters Tina York and Yolanda Hunt, sisters Nora Naylor and Christina Hurt of Mocksville NC. 

She was blessed with a large family of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
