Thelma Meredith Obituary

Thelma Louise Meredith, age 83, passed away peacefully Tuesday November 23, 2021 at her Murrells Inlet residence.

Born in Newport News, VA, Mrs. Meredith was the daughter of the late Joseph Edwin Carr and Thelma Williams Bush Davis Carr. She enjoyed working on computer projects and was especially talented in creating contracts and portfolios for clients in landscaping. Mrs. Meredith was very artistic when it came to floral arrangements and enjoyed the sound of the ocean waves crashing, she felt this brought her to a place closer to God. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Meredith is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Kenneth Meredith and her son, Kenneth Edwin Meredith.

Survivors include her daughters, Denise Ann (Jeff) Emers of Melbourne, FL; Patricia Louise Vickers of Murrells Inlet, SC; son, John David (Angela) Meredith of Hampton, VA; Grandchildren, Jennifer Mason, Kathrine Vickers Tompkins, Benjamin Emers, Chelsea Pannell, Colton Meredith, Jacob Sharpe; great grandson, Austin Bryant; sister, Betty Jo Carr, Woodbridge, VA; daughter in law, Jennifer Meredith of Rockledge, FL.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church in Pawleys Island, SC at a later date.
