Terry Tuttle Massey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 5, 1963, in Charlotte, NC, she grew up in Morehead City, NC. She would later meet the love of her life, Matt, in Charlotte, NC, eventually settling in Myrtle Beach, SC, where together they raised their two children, Amelia and Alex. She later found immense joy and pride in her role as a grandmother to Sage Carter, Reese Montgomery, Ash Alexander, Melrose Essie, Emerie Grace, and Ivy Marie.
Terry loved caring for everyone around her, especially her children and grandchildren. Her house was always filled with music, laughter, and love. She found joy in cooking and in hosting gatherings at her home. Terry also loved gardening and could be found sharing her love of gardening with her grandchildren. At barely 5 feet tall, Terry was a force to be reckoned with, definitely a free spirit who followed her own path. She was truly a beautiful soul - the best anyone could ask for.
Terry is preceded in death by her parents, Donald Lee Tuttle and Margrace Amelia Oates Tuttle. She is survived by her husband, Matthew S. Massey of Myrtle Beach;, SC; daughter, Amelia Massey (Logan) of Murrells Inlet, SC; son, Alex Massey (Chasity) of Myrtle Beach, SC; bonus daughter, Ciana Mauldrin of Conway, SC; brother, Donald Lee Tuttle, Jr (Noel) of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren; and many extended family members and close friends.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held at a later date. Those dates and times will be announced once arrangements are complete.
