Susan "Susi" (Walling) Houser

A bright light went out on June 21, 2026, when Susan "Susi" Houser,  age 80, passed away surrounded by her loving family.

Susi retired after many years of dedicated service working for both the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Senate. Outside of her career, she was a true adventurer at heart. If you knew her, you knew she couldn't resist packing up to go camping, exploring the great outdoors, or diving into her latest arts and crafts project. She was happiest when she was creating something beautiful or planning her next great outdoor adventure.

Susi leaves behind a family who will miss her dearly, including her three children, Keith and his wife Lynn, Michael, and Brian; her two cherished granddaughters, Kelsey and Katie-Brooke; her two sisters, Jeanne and Diane; and her beloved puppy, Nikki, who brought her endless joy. She joins her loved ones who passed before her in peace.

In keeping with Susi’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, a private gathering of family to celebrate her vibrant life will be held at a later date.
