Susan (Bohrman) Gibbons

Susan Gibbons - a true friend to all, a doting Aunt, and a woman who lived life to the fullest- passed away on October 16th, 2023, at the age of 74, surrounded by loved ones in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.

Susan was born November 11, 1948, in Hackensack, NJ to Fred and Rhoda Bohrman. She spent her early years in Wilkes Barre, PA before her family settled down in Cheltenham where she completed high school. She studied at Penn State, hitch hiked through Europe, and taught special education. She lived an adventurous life, sharing most of those adventures with the love of her life, James “Gibon” Gibbons who she met in San Francisco. They moved across the country and made their beloved home in Pawleys Island. There she became a highly successful real estate agent who prioritized her  relation with clients over all else. 

Simply being a good person and sharing kindness were her guiding life principles. 

When she faced her own health decline,  she did so with bravery and grace. While she wasn't one to complain or really accept help from others, she found great comfort of the company of her family in her last days. 

Her greatest loves were her family.  Her nieces - Casey,  Jenny,  Amanda,  and Rebecca, her nephew- David, her brother and sister in laws- Fred, Lynne, and Evalyn, and Giibon's niece's and nephew- Dave Gibbons,  Susan Bachtle, and Paul Gibbons were at the center of her heart at all times. 

Susan was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Rhoda, her brother Jeffrey, and husband, Gibon.  

Services will be held privately.
