Susan Kathleen Bland

Susan Kathleen Bland, 67, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Montgomery, Alabama; passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday October 16, 2025. She was born on October 13, 1958 in Lansing, Michigan to the late Coburn Bland, Sr., & Catherine Bland (Siddall).

Susan was a dedicated woman full of love and life! She proudly graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelors degree and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Public Health while living in Alabama. She was a skilled Public Health Teacher and Trainer for many years. In her free time, Susan enjoyed bowling, traveling and watching NASCAR. She was an avid University of Alabama fan and enjoyed attending many games. Roll Tide! Above all else, Susan loved her family with her whole heart. Susan will be deeply missed, and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Left to cherish Susan’s memory are her adoring siblings- brothers, Coburn Bland, Jr., and Michael Bland; sisters, Deborah Fuller (Bland), Karen Rivers (Bland) and Victoria Dorsey (Bland); beloved nieces, Stacy, Jacqueline and Morgan; nephews, John, Jason, Bill, Cobie III, Chris and John Patrick; as well as a large, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Susan’s life will be held in Michigan at a later date. The details will be announced when finalized.
