Sue Y Teague

Sue Y. Teague, 90, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday February 5, 2026 while at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on November 17, 1935 in Granite Falls, North Carolina to the late David & Nancy Yount.

Along with her parents, Sue is reunited in passing with eleven siblings and her beloved husband of over 50 years, Mr. Lynn Stanley Teague.

Sue was a hardworking woman with a heart of gold, a zest for life and an eye for detail. She was a skilled seamstress who loved to cross-stitch, crochet and was the lead sewing manager for many years. In her free time, Sue enjoyed crossword puzzles, word searches and was a life-long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bethlehem, North Carolina. Above all else, Sue loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Sue’s memory are her daughter, Donna Wells (Danny) of Myrtle Beach; son, Lynn Stanley Teague, Jr. (Katrina) of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren, Cassie Jay, Bucky Wells, Jessica Fogarile and Sophie Teague; great-grandchildren, Landon Jay, Abigail Jay, Junior Fogarile, Gabriellie Fogarile; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Sue’s life will be held at Bass Smith Funeral Home at 106 S. Main Street Granite Falls, NC 28630 on Wednesday February 11, 2026, at 1:00pm. Family will receive friends and family at 12:30pm.  Burial to follow at the Teague Munday Cemetery, NC 127, Ellendale, North Carolina.
