Steven James Gregory

Steven James Gregory, 68, of Murrells Inlet, SC, and formerly of Jackson, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet, SC. Steven was born in Brooklyn, NY  to the late John and Ethel Gregory.

Steven is survived by his brother, John Gregory and wife Margaret of Murrells Inlet; sister, Judy Tohn of Montreal, Canada, nieces, Megan Gregory of Toms River, NJ and Jessica Tohn of CA; nephew, Christopher Tohn of Columbus, OH; great nieces, Jocelyn Magahan, USN, San Diego, CA and Jasmine Magahan of Toms River, NJ; great nephew, Jake Magahan of Toms River, NJ; and many cousins and dear friends.

Steven loved traveling to Disney and cruising. He was an avid shopper and loved to decorate. He enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles. Because of his warm heart and smile, Steven was the steadfastmember of the Welcoming Committee and Social Committee at Palmetto Assisted Living. He also volunteered for 6 years at Goodwill making Volunteer of the Year in 2016. Steven’s kindness to others and his wonderful smile will be deeply missed but forever cherished in all of our hearts.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to cousins, Marie and Ross Johnson and Robert Johnson, and all of Steven’s wonderful friends and family that he cherished spending time with.

A Celebration of Steven's life will be held on Friday November 28, 2025 at 1PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway. Inurnment will follow within St. Michael Catholic Church Columbarium, 542 Cypress Ave, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Steven’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or Help 4 Kids, 2523 Forestbrook Road, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588.
