Stanley Brownie Roberts, was called home to Jesus Friday December 26, 2025.
Born January 31, 1931 in Pottstown, PA Stanley was the son of the late Brownie J. Roberts and Beulah Wiedenbaugh Roberts. ‘
A proud US Navy Korean War Veteran, Stanley played professional baseball for the New York Giants and Philadelphia Phillies. He retired from U.S. Steel and was an avid golfer and hunter who loved being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Shirley Link – Roberts and Billy Pilson.
Survivors include his children, Stanley Roberts, Jr. (Gloria); Shirley M. Roberts; Dianna Pyatt (John); Susan Ruscitti (David); grandchildren, Scott Roberts, Jennifer Longo, James Sweeney, Ryan J. Ruscitti and Shawn Ruscitti; great grandchildren, Charlene Longo, Nycolas Longo, Lexa Roberts, Cooper Roberts, Knox Roberts, Nash Roberts and Charles Ruscitti; sister Diana Barton.
Stanley loved Jesus and sharing the word and he loved his church family at Harvest Church of Green Sea, SC.
A Celebration of Stanley’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday January 31, 2026, at Harvest Church, 4619 SC-9 Green Sea, SC 29545. Pastor Neal Watson and Associate Pastor Cody Fowler officiating.
A private interment with Military Honors will be held in Florence National Cemetery.
