Shirley Jean Pruett, 89, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Wednesday February 18, 2026 while at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on May 13, 1936 in Boone County, West Virginia to the late Charles & Odra Ball Lamb.
Along with her parents, Shirley is reunited in passing with her beloved husband of over 45 years, Henry Pruett; as well as her brothers Charles & Dean Lamb; and brother in-law, Robert Pruett.
Left to cherish Shirley’s memory are her adoring daughters, Rhonda Brown and her husband, Damon of Murrells Inlet, SC & Kara Bragg and her husband, Jimmy of Oceana, son, Allan Pruett and wife, Connie of Oceana; her grandchildren, Christina Jarrett (Dan), Bill Brown (Samantha), Jeremy Bragg (Santana), Drew Bragg (Ashley), Allison Bailey (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Tyler Brown(Logan), Alexus Ackelson, Anthony Brown, Abigail Brown, Hayden Bragg, Addison Bragg, Lillia Bailey, Hazel Bailey & Finnley Brown; Sister in law Jean Pruett, and her special little pet Lilly pod, as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Tuesday, February 24 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Ron Harvey officiating.
Friends may gather at 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Palm Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with the help of Burroughs Funeral Home Services in Murrells Inlet, SC.
