Sheryl Lea Fields, 72, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Moscow, Idaho, on September 12, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Pearl and Phyllis Williams Monroe. She was the wife of Roy Fields.
Sheryl and her husband Roy were high school sweethearts who graduated from Oswego High School. They had loving and wonderful 53-year marriage which began in New York State. After their son moved to South Carolina, they soon followed and enjoyed their time in warmer weather. The beach was a special place to Sheryl, and she was especially fond of lighthouses. Her collection was extensive and beautiful.
Prior to the move to South Carolina, Sheryl was very active in the Eastern Star. She was a Grand Representative to the State of Arizona appointed by the State of New York Eastern Star. She also enjoyed volunteering with Lee Memorial Hospital.
Those left to cherish the memory of Sheryl in addition to her husband Roy, are her son, Patrick Fields (Misty); daughters, Bethany Fields , Kathleen Andrews (George; and numerous precious grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy King.
The family will host a memorial service in her memory and honor at their residence at a later date. Following the COVID pandemic, there will be a Memorial Service in New York.
