Sean Mulvaney Obituary

Sean Henry Mulvaney, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was 33 years old.

Born on January 29, 1992, in Massachusetts, Sean was the cherished son of the late Henry Joseph Mulvaney and Sheila Susan Mulvaney. He spent his early childhood in Tolland, Massachusetts, where he attended Granville Elementary School. Those years were formative and filled with the kind of memories that would stay with him for life. Summers were spent at the beach and the clubhouse with neighborhood friends — fishing, riding bikes, and staying out until the sun went down. It was during this time that Sean formed friendships that continued into adulthood, connections he valued deeply. For his family, especially his sister, those years in Tolland were some of the best they shared together and will always be remembered that way.

Sean later moved to South Carolina with his parents, where he completed his middle and high school education and went on to attend college. His parents were a constant, guiding presence, providing a childhood filled with support, stability, and love that carried into adulthood. Their passing was something that was felt deeply by Sean and his sister.

In adulthood, Sean built a career in real estate as a dedicated agent with eXp Realty and was a valued member of the Derrick Legacy Team. He was known for his positivity, his ability to connect with others, and the genuine relationships he formed both personally and professionally.

Beyond his work, Sean had a natural ability to bring people together. He was always surrounded by friends and had a way of lifting the mood in any room. He loved to travel, spend time with those close to him, and make the most of every day. He lived fully and intentionally, creating lasting memories with the people he cared about.

Sean is survived by his sister, Shannon Niemiec, and her husband, Josh Niemiec, of New Hampshire; his nephews, Layne Niemiec and Lincoln Niemiec; and his niece, Layla Niemiec. He is also survived by his grandfather, Spencer Sheehan, of Connecticut; his uncle, Kevin Sheehan, of Massachusetts; his aunt, Susan Sheehan, of Connecticut; his aunt and uncle, Eleanor Mulvaney-Seamans and Richard Seamans, of Massachusetts; many cousins; and his beloved dog, Ellavi.

Though Sean’s time was far too short, he lived life to the fullest and left a lasting impact on all who knew him. His loss will be felt deeply and remembered always.

A celebration of life was held in South Carolina shortly after his passing. A private service with family will take place this summer.
