Scott Sadler Shepherd

Scott Shepherd, age 47, passed away on October 26. He was a son, a brother, an uncle, and a loyal friend whose presence mattered deeply to the people who loved him.

Born on July 26, 1978, in Burlington, NC, Scott had a big heart and a memorable laugh. He had a way of making people feel welcome and understood, and he stayed loyal to those he cared about.

Those who knew Scott will remember him not for the hardships he faced but for the joy, tenderness, and connection he brought into the world. He was more than his struggles — he was loved, and he loved in return.

He is survived by his parents, Jan and John Shepherd of Pawleys Island; his sister, Jenny Williams, and her husband, Frank Williams; and his niece, Marlow Williams and nephew, McKee Williams of Mount Pleasant, SC. He is also remembered by extended family and close friends whose lives he touched.
