Scott Alan Churchwell

Scott Alan Churchwell, 54, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away on February 11th, 2021, surrounded by his wife and daughters.

He was born to his parents, Robert Churchwell and Susan Griggs, on January 2nd, 1967. After graduating from Lacey Township High School in 1985, he played baseball at Brookdale Community College. He was a fanatic of all sports, but especially baseball, football, and golf. In 2014, he left the cold of New Jersey and moved down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to be close to his father, play golf, and enjoy life the way he knew best. In 2015, he married his wife Ronee LaFrance and enjoyed many beautiful memories together. Scott was known for his athletic achievements in high school, his warm personality, his voice that would fill any room, and his ability to make any situation fun.

Scott will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ronee LaFrance, his daughters Kyrsten Churchwell (Kenny) and Kylie Churchwell (Lucas), his mother Susan Griggs (Gene), his step-mother Kathleen Churchwell, his sisters Kim Robinson (Mark), Dyneen Kenley, and Colleen Marshall (Chris), and his nieces and nephews Karsten and Grace Kenley and Sammy and Josh Robinson, and many friends that he made throughout his life. He is reunited in death with his father Robert “Pops” Churchwell.

A memorial to honor Scott’s life will be planned at a later date.
