Sarah "Sallie" Jane Sauer

Sarah “Sallie” Jane Bauman Sauer, age 76 of Oceanside Village went to meet her Lord on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

Sallie was born May 2, 1944 in Hondo, Texas and was previously married to Russell “Ted” Theodore Sauer. She was formerly of Yorkville, IL. before moving to the beach and has been the precious secretary and a member of Low Country Community Church.  

Sallie’s relationship with Jesus was so beautiful and genuine that one could not help but see and feel it when in her presence.  Always a witness for Jesus and truly desired that whoever she met would surrender their lives to Him and receive God’s salvation, the gift of eternal life.  Sallie always thought of others before herself.  She chose joy in every situation.  She had deep faith and always reminded everyone around her of that, “God’s got this”.  One of the other amazing gifts God blessed Sallie with was her singing voice.  Singing was the essence of her soul.  Sallie’s sayings (Sallieism), infectious laughter, and positive reassuring words will be missed by all who knew her.  Our lives are less bright without her in it; however, her influence will continue through all that knew her bright smiling face.

Whom have I in Heaven but you?  I desire You more than anything on earth.  My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains my strength of my heart, He is mine forever.  Psalm 73: 25-26.

As Sallie, Our Mom would say, “Yay God”.

Surviving are her children: Donna Jean Chartrand (Michael) of Montgomery, Ill., Bonnie Gibson (Byron) of Olympia, WA, Deborah Bedre (Rich) of Pinon Hills, CA and Nathan Sauer (Tilly) of Vancouver, WA;  her Grand Angels, Erika Morrissette, Madelyn Gibson, Jordan Gibson, Rachael Gibson, Lucas Gibson, Rusty Bedre, Karli Bedre, Aubrey Sauer and Zion Sauer; her sister, Paula Chisholm of Gulfport, Mississippi and an aunt, Roberta Stoike of Lafayette, IN and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Sallie’s “Yay God” Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Low Country Community Church in Murrells Inlet, SC.  The service will be on livestream and Facebook from LC3. Connection information is https://lc3church.com/ and https://www.facebook.com/LC3Church/
