On Friday, January 23, 2026, Sara L. Worley (Plants) passed away, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hard work, and a generous spirit. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Born in Charleston, West Virginia on May 7, 1958, Sara was the daughter of the late Jenny Pitsonberger (James) and the late George Plants II. Throughout her life, she exemplified dedication and compassion in all she did. She worked for many years at Drunken Jacks Seafood Restaurant, where she formed lasting friendships. She later spent many dedicated years working as a sales associate at Lowe’s.
Sara had a deep love for music, especially country artists and songwriters, and she found joy in the simple peace of long walks along the beach. In her younger years, she cherished her time working with horses, nurturing her lifelong bond with animals and the outdoors. She also enjoyed snow skiing, traveling, and exploring the world whenever she could. Her appreciation for nature and adventure remained constant throughout her life.
Sara is survived by her brother, Jeffrey Plants, of Collierville, TN, and his son, George Plants III; and by her sister, Rebecca Nelson (Allen), of Hernando, MS, and her son, Sean Hart. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
