Ruth Valentine Obituary

Ruth Ann Valentine, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday May 15, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born on March 22, 1942 in Farimont, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Trevy Andy and Ruth Annabelle (Gattian) Valentine.

Ruth retired from K-Mart in 2015 after 38 years of dedicated service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 3 brothers, James, Donald and Eugene Valentine, son James (Jimmy) Kline and daughter Christine Jenkins.

She is survived by 3 children, son Charles (Melissa Lindsey) Jenkins, daughter Kimberly (Andy) Jones and son Donald (Sarah Langan) Jenkins; daughter-in-law Tina Kline; 3 granddaughters, Chelsie (Mat Clemmons) Jenkins Jones, Madison (Brennan) Huntley and Camden Jenkins and one great grandson, Brayden.

A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to Amedisys Hospice, 391 Seaboard St. #6, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 or to a local animal rescue.
