Ronald "Ron" Hinnant Mathews

Ronald Hinnant Mathews (Ron) of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Tidelands Hospital on 11/23/22.

            He is survived by his wife of 63 years Linda Mathews, his children, Teague Mathews, Troye Mathews (Janie), and Whitney Hewitt (Lee).

            Grandchildren, Travis, McKenzie (Trey), William, and Coleman, and great grandchildren Camden and Jack.

            He attended the University of South Carolina and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was an avid Gamecock fan!

            Ron was a true woodsman. He loved boating and most of all sitting on his front porch with binoculars in hand looking over his beloved Murrells Inlet in his rocking chair.

            In Lieu of flowers, Dad has requested to please spread the word to all boaters: Parsonage Creek is a NO WAKE ZONE!

            A private service will be held with family at a later date.
