Ronald Charles Stibritz, 82, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday July 14, 2025 at his home in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. He was born on March 21, 1943, in Freeport, New York to the late Frank & Amelia Bauer Stibritz.
Along with his parents, Ron is reunited in passing with his brother, Frank Stibritz.
Ron proudly served our country in the United States Army. Following his honorable separation from the military, Ron went into the work force and retired after many years of dedicated service. In Ron’s free time, he relished being outdoors, soaking up the sun! He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved camping and boating. Ron was gifted with an eye for detail that made him a bonified, ‘Mr. Fix-it.” He could be found tinkering with his many projects and was a beacon of knowledge for any task. Ron took pride knowing his children, friends or neighbors could call at a moment’s notice, and he’d be there to lend a hand! Above all else, Ron loved his family with his whole heart. He was his children and grandchildren’s biggest cheerleader- he never missed a game or an opportunity to show his love and support. Ron will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his quick wit, bright smile and the love he had for his family… and ice cream.
Left to cherish Ron’s memory are his adoring wife of over 65 years, Mrs. Georgette Stibritz of Surfside Beach; their children, Cheryl A. Auletta and husband, Tom of Surfside Beach, SC & Ronnie Stibritz and wife, Marianne of NY; grandchildren, Brittany (Patrick) & Shannon and Kaitlyn, Kyle & Riley; great-grandson, Flynn; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins; a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held with Military Honors in New York with burial within Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY 11933 on Friday July 25, 2025 at 1:30PM.
At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Ron’s name may be made to the March of Dimes.
