Roger Willard Tippett, 87, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Monday May 25, 2026 while at home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on January 10, 1939 in Seneca, South Carolina to the late Bernyce Tippett.
Along with his parents, Roger is reunited in passing with his daughter, Kelly Elizabeth Tippett.
Roger was a hardworking man with a heart of gold and a zest for life! He was a skilled entrepreneur that led him to own and operate Creative Dying Inc. of Mt. Holly, North Carolina. Following Roger’s well-deserved retirement, he was able to focus on the simple things in life. Roger appreciated time spent making memories with friends and spending time with his family. He was an avid golfer who proudly accomplished a few holes- in- one! He will be deeply missed.
Left to cherish Roger’s memory are his adoring wife of over 62 years, Janet Tippett of Myrtle Beach; children, Mitch Tippett of Myrtle Beach, Matt Tippett and his wife Susie of Gastonia, NC & Greg Tippett of Lake Wylie, SC; six adoring grandchildren, Grady, Henry, Harrison, Curren, William & Macon; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Roger’s life will be held on Saturday May 30, 2026 at 11am at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
At the request of the family, please consider memorial contributions in lieu of flowers. Donations in Roger’s name may be made to the Low Country Food Bank.
