Roger Wellington Sieber

Roger Wellington Sieber, Sr. passed peacefully in his sleep early on the morning of June 1, 2026.

He was the youngest child of Carroll P. and Louisa M. (Lemerich) Sieber, born in the family home at 9 Fairview Avenue in South River, NJ on August 1, 1936.

He served in the US Army and was stationed outside of Oxford, Ohio. While there, Roger met the love of his life and wife of over 64 years, Merriam Maxine Parks. They settled in South River to raise their family.

Roger retired from Verizon and was a member of IBEW.

After retirement, Roger and Maxine relocated from South River to Murrells Inlet, SC, where they enjoyed many happy years together, filled with family visits and the company of wonderful friends and neighbors.

He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Carroll, Corinne (Cebula), Glenn, Berenice (Bonus), and Iris (Schmitt).

Roger is survived by his beloved wife Maxine, his loving children Beth-Anne, Roger Jr, and Scott (Alice), as well as his treasured grandchildren Grayson, Cassidy, and Sheridan.

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Burroughs Funeral Home on a date to be announced.
