In Loving Memory of Robert “Bob” Tully
Robert “Bob” Tully passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 91, in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, where he had made his home since retiring in 1996.
Bob lived a full and meaningful life defined by dedication, integrity, and devotion to family. A lifelong entrepreneur, he owned and operated a successful business in his hometown of North Tonawanda, New York, for more than 44 years, earning the respect of his community through hard work, fairness, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
Before beginning his career and raising a family, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Hunter Air Force Base, Savannah, GA in the 1950s. His military service reflected the same sense of duty, responsibility, and quiet strength that guided him throughout his life.
Bob shared an extraordinary 69 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Annette Scott Tully. Their partnership was one of deep devotion, loyalty, and enduring love. Together, they built a family that was the center of Bob’s world. He was a proud and loving father to Robert Tully, Jr., Hugh Tully, and Rebecca Tully.
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Kate (James) Pymm, Matthew (Danielle) Tully, Michael Tully, and Jackson Tully, as well as numerous great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride.
A man of faith, Bob was a devoted member of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, where he served on numerous committees, sang in the Choir, found fellowship, comfort, and spiritual strength.
Those who knew Bob will remember his steady presence, gentle wisdom, amazing sense of humor, and generous heart. His life was a testament to perseverance, faith, and the deep importance of family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and service that will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who mourn his passing.
A funeral will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary of Murrells Inlet Presbyterian Church, 4499 Highway 17 Bypass South, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
