Robert E. Ridgeway

Robert E. Ridgeway, 79, of Myrtle Beach, passed away peacefully at his home with his wife by his side on February 3, 2020. Robert was born August 23, 1940 in Rayland, Ohio, a son to the late Clesson Ridgeway and Dorothy Harris Ridgeway Flint. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his stepfather Clarence Flint, as well as his brother William Ridgeway, his sister Betsy Meeker and his daughter Christine Baker

As a young man, Robert proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Ohio Edison after 35 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Seaside Community Church and a member of the Moose Lodge of Mecca, Ohio. He is survived by a loving family including his devoted wife of 48 years, Penny Ridgeway; his son Cedric Ridgeway of Cleveland, OH, son Bradford (Jennifer) Ridgeway of Champion, OH, son Gregory Ridgeway of Orwell, OH, sister Bonnie Zoc of San Diego, California and his 13 adoring grandchildren.

A memorial service to honor Robert will be held at a later date in the summer at Seaside Community Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Robert’s honor may be sent to Seaside Community Church, 10125 Frontage Road, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
