Robert L Masters

Robert L. Masters, 80, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his loving family on Sunday January 20, 2019 at his home in Murrells Inlet. He was born on March 15, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Emery Nile Masters & Eva Edwards Masters.

A brilliant man, Bob had many skills and interests. He quickly achieved the position of Elementary School Principal, which he proudly maintained for nearly 30 years. In his free time, Bob loved to golf and cheer on the Maryland Terrapins & the Baltimore Orioles. Bob had a love for maps. He spent countless hours reading them and was able to travel the world with their guidance. Above all else, Bob loved his family.

Left to cherish Bob’s memory are his beloved wife of 58 years, Mrs. Joyce C. Masters, of Murrells Inlet; their children, Scott Allen Masters (Vilma) of Westminster, MD & Richmond Arnold Masters (Diane) of Eagleville, TN; grandchildren, Johannah Rose, & Nathaniel Ethan; his brother, Edward Masters (Joann) of Freemont, NE; and many supportive friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday March 15, 2019 at Belin United Methodist Church, 4182 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. at 11:00AM. A reception will follow in the Family Life Center. Bob lived a rich and amazing life filled with enormous victories and outstanding accomplishments.  Each of you are encouraged to share your memories of Bob at the service, I truly want this to be a celebration of the man I loved that touched so many lives through his generous heart and charismatic manner.  A time in the service will be provided for those wishing to share briefly some of the marvelous memories that were created as a result of knowing this wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
