Robert Thomas Burke, 79, of Longs, South Carolina, peacefully passed away at his residence on Friday, October 3, 2025, with his family by his side. Robert was born in Lebanon, PA on July 20, 1946, to the late Louis H. Burke, Sr. and Bertha M. Slike Burke.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his siblings, Louis H. Burke Jr. (Marion), James E. Burke (Diane), and Doris L. Wartluft (Ken).
Robert is survived by his loving wife Ronda L. Blatt Burke of Longs, SC, sons, Kyle P. Burke of Robesonia, PA, Mark A. Burke and wife Heather Kirsch Burke of Lebanon, PA; one daughter, Paige M. Burke of Longs, SC; and four grandchildren, JJ Black of Little River, SC, Zaylen Moore of Bolton, NC, Everly Burke of Robesonia, PA, and Bentley Tekesh of Little River, SC.
Robert was an avid golfer. He loved classic cars, birds and watching Penn State and the Philadelphia Eagles football. He played rugby, hockey, and enjoyed giving lectures and speeches on the Vietnam War at schools and various other groups. Robert had a passion for helping other veterans and was a member of the VFW & the American Legion. He was most proud of being a Marine in the United States Marine Corps.
A gathering of family and friends with military honors will be held 11:00 AM Friday October 24, 2025 at North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens in Little River, SC.
