Richard Trudeau Obituary

Richard E. Trudeau, aged 69, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side, on June 7, 2022, in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. He was the husband of Christina Penhale Trudeau. Together they shared 40 happy years of marriage.

 

Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey, on June 27, 1952, Richard was the son of Robert H. Trudeau and Elizabeth Dempsey Trudeau, and brother of Robert Trudeau and Gary Trudeau.

 

Richard attended Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken, New Jersey; he earned first team all-South Jersey honors at Bishop Eustace Prep and also made first team all-state in basketball.

 

After graduating high school, Richard attended and graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 1974; Richard was a co-captain and point guard on the university basketball team, the Temple Owls, from 1971-1974.

 

He was the Vice President of Sales for G.O. Carlson Inc. and provided 39 years of dedicated service to the company before retiring in 2015 to Surfside Beach, South Carolina with his wife.

 

Richard was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his devoted wife of 40 years, Christina Penhale Trudeau; two children, Jessica Trudeau and Kaitlin Trudeau Corrigan; son-in-law Kevin Barry Corrigan; two grandchildren, Ronan Corrigan and Emmett Corrigan; and two beloved “woofsters”, Lily and Bella.

 

A private ceremony was held on June 11, 2022 with immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Richard E. Trudeau.
