Richard Arnold Specht

Richard Arnold Specht, 89, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Levittown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1932 in Astoria, New York son of the late Richard J. Specht and Mae Buzelski Specht.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, David and Donald Specht; and one sister, Virginia Specht.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-four years, Carolyn A. Specht of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sons, David Specht of Bethpage, NY and Richard Specht and his wife, Janine of Baldwin, NY; one daughter, Donalyn Specht of Farmingdale, NY; one sister, Beverly Specht of Astoria, NY; four grandchildren, Daniella, Richard, Olivia, and Owen; a loving sister-in-law, Dorothy and brother-in-law, Howard Fairweather.

Richard proudly served in the United States Marines during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Biener Pontiac after thirty-five years.

A celebration of Richard’s life and military service will be held 12:00pm Friday, October 22, 2021 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC. The family will receive friends following the service.
