Richard M. Casmirri, 79, of Murrells Inlet, SC, formerly of Bristol, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his residence. He was born September 18, 1946, in Bristol, PA, son of the late Richard L. Casmirri and Elizabeth Jane Lippincott Casmirri.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alma “Frenchie” Casmirri; a nephew, John Gross; as well as a brother-in-law, Albert Cavalieri.
Survivors include his daughter, Pamela LeBlanc of Murrells Inlet, SC and her two sons, Bekk and Tyler LeBlanc; sons, Keith LeBlanc and his wife, Kelly of Manahawkin, NJ, and Kevin LeBlanc and partner, Becky of Toms River, NJ; daughter, Terri Connon and her husband Fred of Forest, VA, and daughter, Connie Ercol and her husband, Guy of Shamong, NJ; son, Richard Smekal and his wife, Rosemary of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; sisters, Lynn Cavalieri of Bellmawr, NJ, Karen Monte and her husband, Larry of Bristol, PA and Betsy Gross and her husband, John of Murrells Inlet, SC; brothers, John Casmirri and his wife, Cathy of Longs, SC, Vincent Casmirri and his wife, Anne of Ocean Isle, NC; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Murrells Inlet, as well as the Friday Night Movie Club, Sunday Dinner with The College Girls and the Hacker Golf Group.
He enjoyed spending time golfing, playing card games and Mexican train with his family and friends. He was a retired master plumber and quickly became Nextdoor’s favorite handyman for four years.
A celebration of Richard’s life will be held in Murrells Inlet on June 13, 2026. Another will be held in New Jersey on August 8, 2026. Those times and locations will be updated once arrangements are complete.
The family extends their gratitude to those who provided care and support during his final days.
