Richard Allen Bryant

Richard Allen Bryant, 72, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. 

He was born on February 12, 1948 in Tampa, Florida to the late David A. Bryant & Eunice Lee Traweek Bryant. 

Ric proudly served his country in the United States Air Force was a decorated Staff Sergeant and a Vietnam Veteran. Following Ric’s honorable discharge, he went on to join the workforce. Ric was a technologically savy man who owned and operated his own IT company for many years. Upon Ric’s well-deserved retirement and relocation from Westerville, Ohio to Murrells Inlet, he was able to enjoy the finer things in life. Ric found peace on the golf course, and in tending to his meticulously maintained yard and landscape. His enthusiasm for sports was evident in all he did. Ric was a passionate Ohio State Football fan and relished officiating high school basketball and football. Above all else, Ric loved his family with his whole heart. He will be deeply missed. 

Left to cherish Ric’s memory are his beloved wife of 52 years, Teri Lynn (Hand) Bryant of Murrells Inlet; their children, Jeremy Bryant and his wife, Karen & Stephanie Kimpel and her husband, William; adoring grandchildren, who were his greatest joys, Riley, Ethan, Emma & Kaitlyn; his brothers David (Kathy), Terry  (Nancy), Dwain , all of Ohio; brothers in law, Robert (Linda), Richard (Lorie), Jay ( Tammie).  Ric was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Traweek. He is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews, supportive friends, Henry (Kim) Zaborniak and Dan Goldberg, and many neighbors new and old.  

The family will gather to greet friends on Tuesday November 24, 2020 from 4:00PM until 6:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
