Richard Brook, Sr

Richard John Brook, Sr., 89, passed away at his home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina on May 1, 2022.

He was born in Winona, Minnesota, on April 29,1933 to Chauncey Joseph Borzyskowski and Winifred Ernestine Bauer.

Richard was the beloved husband to his loving wife of 43 years, Carol A. Brook of Murrells Inlet, SC; father to Richard J. Brook, Jr. of Asheville NC; Daniel R. Brook (Teresa St. Marten) of Portland, OR; Timothy S. Brook (Margaret M. Brook), Duxbury, MA; Jennifer J. Brook (J. Dunwoody) of Laconia, NH; and grandfather to seven grandchild, Richard J. Brook, III, Henry A. Brook, Samuel B. Brook, Charles Brook, Emily Brook Sahlberg, Robert Brook and Andrew Brook.
Richard is reunited in passing with his parents Chauncey Joseph Borzyskowski and Winifred Ernestine Bauer and two sisters, Frances Korupp of Minnesota and Elizabeth Newman of California.  

Richard proudly served our country in the U.S. Army.  He was an avid gardener and a Master Gardener in the BrookGreen Gardens Program.  He had a love of art, taking classes as part of the Seacoast Group through UNC and OLLI classes with Barney Slice at Pawleys Island, SC.
