Ralph A. Mielke

Ralph (Gus) A. Mielke, Jr., age 76, resident of Murrells Inlet, passed away peacefully Sunday June 6, 2021 at Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Born in Havre de Grace, MD, Gus was the son of the late Ralph A. Mielke, Sr. and Dorothy A. Mielke.  A graduate of Wentworth Institute in Boston, Gus was a proud Vietnam Navy Veteran.  He was an avid photographer who loved gardening, fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen Mielke of Murrells Inlet; sons, Brenden Mielke of London, UK; Glenn Mielke and his wife Michelle of Flemington, NJ; grandchildren, Declan Mielke and Colin Mielke; sister, Sandra Grabowski of Murrells Inlet; brother, Randolph Mielke of Billings, MT; brother in law, Charles Mc Williams and his wife Edith of Southern Palms, NC; sisters in law, Edith Nanick and her husband Thomas; Margaret Gregory and her husband John all of Murrells Inlet; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Gus’ Life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday June 12, 2021 at Burroughs Funeral Home in Murrells Inlet.  The family will receive friends following the service.
